Across the time, in many database applications, the sources of data have become diverse, the format become heterogeneous and the volume of data grows rapidly. This fact has increased the complexity of maintining the Quality of Data (QoD) in the application.

In this project, we try to investigate how to develop a formal model on measuring the QoD metrics for XML Database. By having this formal model, we can calculate easily how the QoD of existing XML Database can be affected with addition, update or removal of some XML data.

This work can be elaborated further by investigating the algorithm for cleaning the data.
